The idea that states of mind can effect the functioning and health of the physical body has been present in history as far back as it has been recorded. Today, many scientific studies show the connection between emotional stress and heart disease, cancer and numerous auto-immune diseases. Stress reduction and attention to emotional well being is an important key to being healthy and living your life to the fullest, even in the most challenging times. This class is an invitation to embark on a journey of self-development, self-discovery, self-care and healing. Through understanding of the mind/body connection, experiential exercises in mindfulness, meditation, relaxation and self-exploration techniques, you will learn to enhance your physical and emotional well being and create a plan for ongoing self-care through the mind/body connection.
